Terms & Conditions
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Masjidly, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Masjidly.
These terms apply to all users of the platform, whether you are browsing as a guest, registered as a member, or serving as a community admin. Your continued use of Masjidly confirms your acceptance of these terms and any future updates made to them.
We recommend that you read these terms carefully before using the platform. If you are using Masjidly on behalf of an organization, such as a masjid or Islamic center, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. About Masjidly
Masjidly is a free, community-driven platform designed to help Muslims discover nearby masjids, access accurate salah times, stay updated with jamat schedules, and connect with their local masjid communities. Our mission is to make it easier for every Muslim to find and engage with their community.
The platform is operated from India and is available to users worldwide. Whether you are a resident looking for your daily prayer times or a traveler searching for a nearby masjid, Masjidly is here to serve you.
Masjidly is and will remain completely free to use. There are no premium tiers, subscription fees, or advertisements. The platform is built and maintained as a service to the Muslim community, and we are committed to keeping it accessible to everyone without any cost.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of Masjidly, such as creating or managing a community, you must create an account. You can register using a valid phone number or a Google account. Registration is free and only takes a moment.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during the registration process. You must also maintain the security of your account credentials and notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
Each individual may maintain only one account on Masjidly. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, manipulate community data, or for any other purpose is strictly prohibited and may result in the suspension of all associated accounts.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Masjidly will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized use of your account, provided we have not been negligent in our security obligations.
4. Community Guidelines
Masjidly is built on the trust of the Muslim community, and we expect all users to uphold that trust. Every piece of information contributed to the platform, including community details, jamat timings, and announcements, must be accurate and truthful.
All users must treat fellow community members with respect and dignity. The platform is intended to unite and serve the Muslim community, and any behavior that undermines this purpose will not be tolerated.
Content that is misleading, offensive, discriminatory, or unrelated to the purpose of the platform is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, posting false prayer times, sharing political propaganda, promoting commercial products or services, or engaging in any form of hate speech.
Violations of these community guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning from the platform. Masjidly reserves the right to take action at its sole discretion to maintain the integrity of the community.
5. User-Generated Content
Communities, jamat timings, announcements, and other content on Masjidly are created and maintained by users, primarily community admins. This community-driven model allows for rich, localized information but also means that the accuracy of content depends on the diligence of contributors.
While Masjidly reviews new communities before they appear in search results, we do not independently verify every piece of information posted on the platform. This includes jamat timings, community descriptions, addresses, and announcements.
Users should exercise their own judgment when relying on information found on Masjidly. We strongly recommend verifying critical information, such as prayer times and event schedules, directly with your local masjid when possible, especially during Ramadan or on days when schedules may change.
If you encounter any content that appears to be inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate, we encourage you to report it through the platform so that we can review and take appropriate action.
6. Admin Responsibilities
Community admins play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of Masjidly. As an admin, you are entrusted with representing your masjid or community on the platform, and this responsibility should be taken seriously.
As an admin, you agree to keep jamat timings accurate and up to date, post announcements that are relevant and truthful, manage community information responsibly, and respond to reports or inquiries about your community in a timely manner.
Admins must ensure that their community page reflects the current state of their masjid. This means updating timings when they change, correcting errors promptly, and removing outdated announcements. Accurate information helps the entire community plan their worship effectively.
Failure to maintain accurate information, misuse of admin privileges, or repeated violations of community guidelines may result in the removal of admin privileges and, in severe cases, account suspension.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities while using Masjidly: submitting false or misleading information about any masjid or community, using the platform to harass, abuse, or threaten other users, creating spam or unsolicited content, or impersonating any person or organization.
You also agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to Masjidly. Any attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without authorization is strictly prohibited.
The use of automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar technologies to collect data from Masjidly is not permitted without prior written consent. You may not interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation, including overloading servers, introducing malware, or engaging in denial-of-service attacks.
Violations of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, legal action under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other relevant Indian laws.
8. Intellectual Property
The Masjidly name, logo, design elements, and underlying source code are the intellectual property of Masjidly. You may not use, reproduce, modify, or distribute any Masjidly branding or proprietary materials without prior written permission from us.
Content you contribute to the platform, such as community information, announcements, and descriptions, remains your content. However, by posting content on Masjidly, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and make that content available to other users within the platform.
This license exists solely to enable the operation of the platform and does not transfer ownership of your content. You may request the removal of your content at any time by contacting us, and we will make reasonable efforts to remove it promptly.
If you believe that any content on Masjidly infringes on your intellectual property rights, please contact us at salam@masjidly.net with details of the alleged infringement so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Masjidly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We do not guarantee that salah times displayed on the platform will be perfectly accurate for every location. Salah times are based on astronomical calculations using established methods, but they may vary from the times observed by your local masjid due to differences in calculation parameters, elevation, or local conventions.
Jamat timings, announcements, and other community-sourced information may not always reflect current schedules. These are maintained by community admins and users, and Masjidly does not independently verify their accuracy in real time.
We strongly recommend verifying critical timing information with your local masjid, particularly for Fajr, Maghrib, and during the month of Ramadan when schedules change frequently. Masjidly is a tool to assist your worship, not a replacement for direct communication with your community.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Masjidly and its operators, developers, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from reliance on prayer times, jamat schedules, or community information provided through the platform. You acknowledge that the information on Masjidly is provided for convenience and should be verified independently for critical matters.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the use of Masjidly shall not exceed the amount you have paid to use the service. As Masjidly is entirely free, this amount is zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms and Conditions, engage in prohibited conduct, or use the platform in a manner that could harm other users or the integrity of the service.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at salam@masjidly.net. Upon receiving your request, we will process the deletion within a reasonable timeframe and remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Upon termination, whether initiated by you or by Masjidly, your right to access and use the platform ceases immediately. Any content you have contributed as a community admin may remain on the platform if it serves the community, unless you specifically request its removal.
Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in full effect. These include, but are not limited to, the sections on intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or your use of Masjidly shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India. Before initiating any legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at salam@masjidly.net so that we may attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the features of the platform. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Your continued use of Masjidly after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If we make significant changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the platform or via your registered contact information.
We encourage you to review these terms periodically to stay informed about your rights and responsibilities when using Masjidly.

You can contact us by email at salam@masjidly.net. We aim to respond to all inquiries within a reasonable timeframe.
